MONSIEUR Z’s

1st let me mention that we did hear from Integrity Toys about “Blue Chip”.  She is an edition size of 200 with 20 that were released to Jeffrey’s for the fashion event.  The remaining 180 will be available about mid-December as an Integrity direct exclusive.

Well, today was a good day!  I got my 3 Monsieur Z dolls!  I didn’t get introduced to Integrity’s dolls until 2006, and this line looks like it came out in 2005.  I had seen these dolls but at that time I was only collecting FR, so I hadn’t ever bought any of them.

But over the last few months I had been eyeing these dolls again.  I really love their retro look & how much they remind me of Josh Agle art, better known as “Shag” art.  If you’re not familiar with his work, it’s got a cool swanky vibe filled with tiki’s, hot rods, martini’s and lounges.  He currently resides & works in Southern California and just recently he released 13 new works of art based on and for the 40th anniversary of the Haunted Mansion at Disneyland.

Below is an example of Shag work and if you’re interested you can view more of Josh Agle’s work on his website HERE.

Okay, now back to the MZ’s.  I decided the only ones I really wanted were the “flight” themed ones.  I think they epitomize that retro feel out of all the MZ’s that were released.  So MFD recently had a sale & these dolls were really reduced, so I splurged and picked these 3 up!  Plus I’ve got a whole diorama planned to cover one shelf that will showcase these 3 gals – once I get that completed I will share those pics too!  But until then, here they are!

First ClassI think she’s adorable! Love the beauty mark & her silver blond hair & thigh high boots that have a great heel on them!

Fly Girl – I love her little serving set!! I was wondering how I was going to balance it all but the bottoms of the cups all have magnets – brilliant!!

Super Fly – I love the combo of white hair and tan skin on this doll!  Plus she’s got fab luggage!

I know! Aren’t they adorable! I feel like they should be sitting on my tray next to my wine while I’m flying!

Thank you so much for posting this! I love them too 🙂 I grabbed five when I learned that they were out of production.

I never knew about Josh Agle’s art before today, and I spent a good two hours looking at every picture on his site. I feel like it was the missing piece of the puzzle, since these girls are all about the context and the architecture.

I can’t wait to see the room you set up for them. Congratulations on getting a little group of these dolls that were discontinued toooo soon.
